Mercy Housing

Mercy Housing was founded by the Sisters of Mercy over 35 years ago. The headquarters are located in Denver, Colorado. Also, it is one of the larger nonprofits for affordable housing developers in the United States. They manage more than 17,000 apartments at about 291 properties spread across the country.

The 65 units under development in Chamblee will consist of a combination of one bedroom and two bedroom apartments. Additionally, this Mercy House project includes 4,000 sq.ft. of amenity space. Amenities include a fitness center, computer room, smaller rooms for activities such as arts and crafts and a rooftop terrace. Further, community gardens and healthcare programs will be offered. The four story apartment development will be an avenue for seniors who earn between 30-60% of median area income to find a comfortable and affordable place to call home.
